Default 86 Samurai not running right

went trail riding yesterday with another sammy and we crawled over a log. and it was running fine like always but on the way back I went over the log again and halfway over it kinda felt like something hit the bottom. them it would not run. it will idle but when you give it gas it wants to die unless you floor it and it will run wide open but there is no in between. if you take breather off it runs worse, if i spray sea foam in carb it idles up and sounds fine. any ideas? I am thinking cat convertor or a fuel issue.

1986 jx all stock.
