Question does the GM helpful for SUzuki

My friend has a Suzuki Jimny,there is something wrong with it.And someone introduce scanner to him,I want to know if it is hlepful for it?Hope someone can help us.

Are you referring to the GM Tech 2 scan tool? if so then you will need a Suzuki card for it, the GM card will only work using the generic OBD2 interface. The Suzuki card allows the Tech 2 tool to communicate with a Suzuki ECU using a proprietary interface which is superior.
