Default Mechanic in St. Louis?

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and apologize ahead of time if I violate any standard protocol I may not be familiar with!

My 86 Samurai has an oil leak. I've taken it to the local Suzuki dealer in St. Louis and have dropped more money than I'd like to admit and they still haven't been able to fix it. Apparently my Samurai was the first one they'd ever worked on too! Do you guys know of a good person/place in St. Louis where I could get this fixed? The Suzuki dealership told me it would cost $4000 more to fix. I don't really get why it would be that expensive and am hoping to spend less.

Thanks so much.

You can buy a new motor from amazon for less. I guess that could be an option.
