Default California Legal Engine Swap for 1988 Samurai

Hey guys looking for a little help here. I've seen a lot of engine swaps online where people have put the sidekick motors in samurais so they get EFI. Does anybody know a garage or mechanic that does these swaps in California?

Also, when you say "CA legal swap"... you know what it takes to make it legal?

I've got a 92 Sammi, with a 92 tracker 1.6L 8V, and it's far from legal. It won't pass smog simply due to this reason, and needs to be checked by a referee. Of coarse, I didn't go down that road when I bought it... and just registered it at my families house where smog doesn't apply. If I ever sold it, I'd love to know what it takes to be 100% legal.

Have you asked all the questions to petroworks yet?

as I understood it from petroworks on my 86, with the original carburation and smog set up from the 1300 on my 1600 8 V swap it is just smoged as the 1300. Once again the carburation and all original smog equipment from the 1300 are on my 1600 8V swap which Petroworks did several years ago. RJW
