I need some help as my 2002 Jimny won't start.
First problem was when the engine overheat after loosing all coolant/water while driving due to a unnoticed leak of the water pump.At that time after allowing the engine to cool+topped up radiator we drove it to a local dealer having to pull over and add water every 10min or so as it kept leaking.
The dealer did fix the fan but as they wouldn't have water pumps on hand had to drive it home(same way..it drove fine just needed to add water every 10-15min or so)
In the mean time the water pump got replaced (brought a mechanic home). However now although the engine turns won't start!I thought it may be the spark plugs therefor I replaced them with no results though.
Brought in an electrician (seemed experienced enough) ..did all sorts of testing , said the current actually doesn't reach the spark plugs but the battery is good, fuses are fine etc etc.He doesn't have a code reader but he's suggesting to replace the crankshaft angle sensor although not 100% sure that's the reason.
My questions in case someone wants to help:
Could this sensor be the reason? If not what else can cause this?
As I'm having hard time to find it around here(Metro Manila) , is there any way I can test the sensor see if still good?
Any advice is really appreciated,
