Default clutch pedal grinding, please help.. :)

The other day when I was driving my battery arked off the hood of my samurai and fried my ground cable. I got a new battery and ground cable, and he is running again, but now the clutch pedal doesn't press smooth. It feels kinda like grinding, but in the pedal, not the clutch plate. I am going to try greasing it, but I am looking for suggestion as to what could be wrong...as anyone heard of this before?

A lot of times when they loose ground it grounds itself through the clutch cable. In most cases this causes a spot in the cable housing the melt and create a drag on the cable. The fix is to replace the cable.
