Default What is the Bar below the rear bumper called?

The bar below my rear bumper does not look straight and I would like to search for a replacement. I thought it was part of the rear bumper but does not show up in the description of any rear bumper. What is this part called so I can help people help me? I want to call it a tow bar because it is where you attach the hitch mount but searches for tow bars bring up different items.

Thanks.

That would be Great! Thanks, It is a simple piece but I cannot bend bar that thick. Does yours still have the tow hooks? Do you still have the mounting bolts or are they holding something else in? I will buy new bumpers next year but I just want this till then. Know of a good hood out your way? Mine was hit by a back hoe bucket. Not the best trail wound story...

Thanks again.

Yes, it is the rear piece. I thought there were tow rings attached to the mounting points but I may have just seen this as an extra installed on other sammys. Sure, just let me know what else you have since I'm trying to make the thing nice again. Looking for interior pieces (Dash, door hardware) as well as seats front and rear, wheels stock front bumper extra doors, half doors. Might be a good time to unload your garage lol.

Thanks again.

The tow loops were offered standard only on the earliest Samurais. A few years ago, I was able to order new ones through my Suzuki dealer. Had to wait about a year for them to come back into stock, but I did eventually get a pair for my '93. You might find a set on eBay. Or at TrailTough, now that TT has the inventory from Hawk -- give 'em a call, they're good people.
