Default Dash Lights not working?

The other night I turned my lights on only to find out my Dash lights not working. The next day I pulled the fuse box cover off and every light on that thing is listed except the Dash Lights. I looked at all the fuse's and all look OK.
All other lights are working! I got hold off a used dimmer switch and hooked it up, still no dash lights?
This is on my 87 Sammy by the way.
Does anyone know if the Dash lights are Fused and if so which Fuse is it? Any other idea's?
Thanks

Trace the wire, and carefully check if it has shorted/grounded out.

Some on this forum have stated that the dimmer switch for the dash lights is a majour trouble spot.
Mine quit and had to be replaced. No amount of rigging and jigging was successful.
Some say just bypass the dimmer switch entirely and have dash lights on full all the time.
Anyrate...take off the cowing around the turn/wiper switches and see if the wire is caught up in them.
If you decide to replace that switch. mine came from a Swift or some such car.
Gotta love the crossovers Suzuki makes possible.
