Default AC Delco U-Joints

I figured that since GM sold Sidekicks, that AC-Delco 45U0016 U-joints would probably do ok, especially since I'm still running stock size tires with no lift. I replaced all 6 u-joints shortly after I bought the Samurai, because the middle and rear shafts were clanking and I had a vibration I though might be U-Joint related.

In retrospect, I should have left the front ones alone, as they were OEM Suzuki, and had no play, but I went ahead and replaced them as well.

About 15,000 miles later, my rear shaft is clanking, and when I checked it, there was noticeable play.

Just ordered a set of OEM Suzuki U-joints... Ouch, but I don't want to do that job again for a while...

Don't know where you ordered yours from, but the cheapest I have found the originals from has been Trail Tough. Only $20 each.

I ordered 4 from oemsuzukiparts.com a bit under $50 each shipped. That is the cheapest I could find, and doing a google seach for "OEM Suzuki Samurai Universal joints" did not bring up Trail Tough. Grrrr....

Low Range is selling them for $75, so I thought I was doing good at $50.

I'm going to order 2 more from Trail Tough to do the front shaft. Thanks for the tip.
