Default neg battery cable

i just got the entire engine machined and put everything back except for the negative battery cable. not the one connected to the battery but the other end. does anyone know where it goes?

on the sj70 wide track it goes to the long bolt that holds the starter motor onto the gear box

It goes to the mounting bolt for the starter on my 1988 Samurai JX, 1.3L SOHC

any where on the engine block will work i think i put mine under one of the upper transmission mounting bolts and it works just fine.
