Default Clutch question / suggestions

I've got a 1988 Sami 1.3 8 valve with 5 speed trans. I replaced the clutch after an oil leak soaked the other clutch. I have adjusted the clutch but when the peddle gets almost to the firewall it has a feeling like breaking over. When starting off the clutch really grabs at that point. The clutch does not disengage till that point is reached. Have I not reached the proper adjustment point on this clutch? Other clutch did not have this feeling.

Ditto,

It sounds normal to me. I have the Petroworks Dual Friction Clutch and there is sort of a build up of foot "pressure" and then gets real easy as the clutch reaches the floorboard. What kind of clutch do you have?
