Default 1988 Sammy-First Time Build Please HELP!

Hey guys,

I just picked up a stock 1988 Samurai for 2k to play around with on my hunting property in OK. I'd like to lift it (preferably bolt on kit cause I've never welded before) and put on some 31 inch tires. Looking around online it seems like a lot of people go with the yj spring over kit. I'd like this project to be relatively inexpensive but I want my sammy to be able to perform! Anyone one have any suggestions? I'm open to any and all suggestions and would appreciate your comments. I'm a total off-road newbie so help me out!

Thanks,

- zuki-noob -

the older f100 rims fit not sure of what year a bolt on spring over axle kit will let you run the bigger wheels

Spring over is expensive
2" body lift and retensioned/ lifted suzuki springs 1-2" will fit 31" just fine
And you dont need to change the steering, brake hoses, driveshafts like a spoa would
