The SJ410 and the SJ413 are very similar. The 410 came out first and established the SJ line. I think it came out in 1982 with a 1ltr motor and 4spd trans. In 1984 the SJ413 was released with a 1.3ltr motor, 5spd trans, wider frame, and a few interior changes. The easiest way to spot the difference is to look at the hood and grill. The SJ413 (known as the Samurai in North America) has a raised center on the hood. The 410 hood does not, but it has vertical metal slats for the grill. very easy to tell the difference.

In Europe the Samurai name was only used on models with the wider axles. There aren't many common parts between the early SJ410 and the SJ413 models, the chassis, body, engine, transmission and axles are all different. Post 1984 SJ410s share the same body and frame as the (narrow axle) SJ413 and a 5-speed gearbox was introduced in later years in some markets.
