Thumbs up fan conversion to thermo

does any one know much about installing a thermo fan in a sj70 sierra wot size fan and wot is the best way to wire it in?

yeah i found auto sparky that has done the mod before it works great for when your plunging into deep creeks and swamps flick of a switch to turn on and off no more muddy water getting sprayed over engine now. thanks for asking.

Has he made it thermo controlled?
And if so where did he put the thermo switch?

just hooked into accessory power wire with switch so basicaly it works the same as the standard belt driven fan just you have control of turning it off for those deep water crossings thats all i was after. thermo fan is wot i know to be called electric fan

Oh ok I thought you meant putting a thermo switch in the coolant system to switch the fan off and on automatically, and a manual switch.
I put this setup in my Samurai, works sweet

to hot up here where i am to worrie about turning fan of average temp is about 34 degreese celcius
