Smile 1987 tin-top resto, southwest *update*

Well its been nearly 6 months since I originally posted the start of the build. Its come a long ways since then.

Whats done:

Interior coated in truck bed liner top to bottom. Body has been completely taken apart, and sanded, the crevice between the firewall & battery tray was NASTY!

In progress:

Re-paint BC/CC

I still need to have the 1.3l engine rebuilt.

Thumbs up *update*

Well I put the body back together, and took the hood off(again) and dropped it off at the Body Shop. I'm guessing it will be a few weeks, but it should be worth the wait. I'm having a complete BC/CC job done, all door jams, engine bay, back to its original glory, teal. As soon as it gets back I'll be sure to take pictures.

Sounds goood! How much did it cost to rebuilt your 1.3l? Make sure your battery tray isnt rusting through, my battery tray was a rust/acid trap from 23 years of neglect.
