I have a 1988 SAMI and I just got back from a trip to Glamis.
I was pulling the SAMI. When I got home, I could not move the
transfer shifter? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

thanks,

mine did the same thing. had to get on Suzuki Forums to find out what to do. great guys here. got me fixed up in no time.

the Bushing is the problem, a $12 part. my sugestions. it's easy to replace in the field. keep in the glove an extra bushing, also an 18" screwdriver, a standard philips driver, a flashlight, a few hand towles and make a little drawing of where the shifting rods need to be before you put it back together. The 18" screwdriver is the tool you use to accomplish this.

damn, can't remeber the size of the screws that removes the t-case plate. my bad, so sorry.

but you get the picture:D

the t-case shifter boot in removed with a #3 phillips screwdriver

removed t-case shifter small boot clamp by sqeezing it with your hand, pull it up to acces the shifter retainer on the -tcase.

push down on the retainer with your finger(s), while turning the retainer couter clock wise with a large flatblade screwdriver.
