renault/peugeot made the diesel engines for the samurai. I believe the diesel samurais all came from the santana motors plant in spain.

The engine in my 1.5DDIS is the Renault Clio unit......the peugeot engine is a good engine as well.....I had one in a Citroen BX 19 non turbo and it was a great engine....I also had the 1.8 turbo intercooled in a Rover and was well pleased with that as well....it was a bit gutless at low revs but I think Rover overgeared it, .....I,m glad you have informed me and I,m learning something new everyday, I take it these Samauri Diesels are quite rare?
