Default Fuel tank gauge Ohm operating range?

I'm switching over to running LPG, and i've told the installer i'd prefer to keep the original fuel gauge rather than installing the crappy LED display he's shown me.

The problem is - I need to know what Ohm range the fuel send unit operates between. The installer guy says there's not much chance of guessing correctly, as there's a million different possiblities. If we can't find the correct operating range then the gauge won't accurately read 'empty' to 'full'.

This is pretty tech, but if are a Samurai master it'll be right down your alley.
