heater and wiper ugrades

I need to replace my wiper motor and clean out the heater box/core.
Are there bigger, better, faster, stronger, etc.
I guess I'm asking if a bigger Toyota wiper motor would fit? What about other suzuki models? Anyone know of a more heater box that kicks out more heat/defrost than the stock sammy?
yea, I know new OEM would be the easiest but I figure if I have to rip both out why not upgrade at the same time. The stock wipers were never really fast. the heater was decent when new but again, now is the time to do this...

thanks,
george

I have never seen a successful replacement (successful meaning that it fit right). But if you are getting very little air through the heater you probably just need to clean it out. There is another thread with links to the 'how to' artclesfarther down the page, but I can repost them if you need them.

Thanks, I've seen the thread on the heater issues and it was helpful.

I figure this is a perfect time to pull the dash. I may make a custom dash... not sure yet.
Shoot, I even thought how cool it would be to have two separate wiper motors, ones for each wiper. But that would be too much work and not really worth it.

I have another heater core in a little custom box but it doesn't do anything for the windows/defroster. (wife is always cold while I'm sweating my n#ts off, so she has her own heater) I even thought about having 'booster' fans near the defroster vents. They would just be 12v computer case fans. It's all about air movement...

anyway-
thanks,
george

Petroworks sells a custom dash that you can fit almost anything behind...

a computer case fan isn't going to push much air. Most I've seen them do is about 20-30 cfm at zero PSI. That's a 40 mm fan. They make dual counter rotating case fans that push a lot more air and at higher pressure, but they're loud as hell. You could fit like a big 180mm fan in front of the squirel cage and use it as a pre-charger. They can put out around 100cfm at zero PSI.

Just removing any restrictions from the heater core will move a lot more air. The squirel cage fan puts out a lot of volume, but doesn't generate much pressure so it's easy to obstruct it's airflow.
