Default Removable Hardtop---Pros/Cons

Given all the rain in Oregon, I have been thinking about getting a removable hardtop for the rainy season. There seem to be several aftermarket versions available and some used original Suzuki versions.

I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on the pros and cons (other than the obvious one--price) of removable hardtops, in general, and if there are any reasons to prefer one brand or version over another.

Thanks,
Bruce

I couldn't find an original when I was looking, so when I was given the opportunity to try one from Rally Tops I jumped at it. Nice top, and replacement parts are an email/phone call away. They even have them for long wheel base sammies now.

Thanks, Bill.

Does anyone know how the Rally Tops hard tops compare to this one:

Omix Two Piece Hard Top - Black - 47653-01 by Omix

Also, are there any advantages to the original, factory version?

Thanks again,
Bruce

Also, looking at the photos, I am assuming that I would have to open my tailgate (given the attached spare tire and gas can) in order to swing open the hardtop's rear window, correct?

Do any of these hardtops give one the option of removing the roof panel above the driver/passenger while leaving the rear portion of the hardtop attached? If so, is it a quick and easy removal or does it require loosening bolts, etc?

Do any of these hardtops have removable rear windows?

Are they less likely to leak than the softtops?

Thanks again,
Bruce
