Hi

I have an SJ51 that cause my teeth to chatter on corrogated roads. I have put on pedder gas shocks and it helped stop the rocking but not the jarring. There is only an inch between the stops. Sitting over the back axle is much better. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Cheers

There are two quick and inexpensive ways to get a softer ride. You can move the rear springs up front, and put Jeep CJ front springs on the rear.
This is called the RUF suspension. (rear up front)

The other option is to use Jeep YJ springs on all 4 corners. The YJ conversion is a little more expensive to do, but it gives a softer ride than the RUF suspension.

Both of these require you to relocate the spring box. The RUF will need extended shackles, and the YJ conversion will need wider shackles.
