if its pretty consistant that way it sounds like a fuel or an air restriction. It could be caused by the coil heating up though. Have you done any work on it recently other than the alternator? When's the last time the fuel filter was changed? did it used to do the choking out thing before you changed the alternator?

does it do it when sitting at idle or just under load? Did you check the vapor return line to make sure it's hooked up correctly? (Deja-vu... I think I just posed this question to someone else a couple days ago)

If air can not enter the tank through the vent on the vapor return line the vacuum pressure overcomes the pumps ability to draw fuel. When you shut the engine down, the tank will equalize pressure since the engine is no longer sucking fuel out of it. Try taking your gas cap off and see if it still has the problem. If removing the gas cap works, then you need to find out where in the venting system it's plugged.
man I love the copy paste function!

Bram and Murphy in that topic both had similar problems... turns out neither was a vacuum draw on the tank though. If taking the cap off doesn't work, then you might follow that topic and see if they find resolutions to their issue.

It does it when its under a load basically,it seems like when it gets good and warmed up about 10 minutes into a ride it just starts bogging down and shuts off, almost like its running out of gas.
