Default Starting up problems,please help

I recently bought a 1987 Samurai with a 1.3 liter motor in it. The day i picked it up it wouldn't start unless i started it with a jump box,as soon as i took the jump box off,it went dead.I then went and bought a new battery.I put it in and it fired up and ran well,i drove it all afternoon with no problems. The next day i started it and drove it for 15 minutes and it died.I waited about 10 minutes and it started back up again.I drove for another 15 and it died again. It repeats this process all day. The following day,the battery was dead yet again and it wouldn't start without a jump box on it again! I take it off and it cuts off again! Can someone help me out on this,i'd appreciate it!

your alternator is not charging your battery and it isn't supplying enough power to your electrical system to run the vehicle. The vehicle slowly bleeds the battery dry. Either the alternator is wasted, or your electrical connections in the charging circut are bad. Put a multi meter on the alternator and see if it is putting out power. If it is, then your problem lies in the electrical wiring and grounds. If it isn't generating power, then you need a new alternator.

I agree with Baratacus, it sounds like it could be that your alternator is not charging your battery. The battery starts your car and when the car is running, the alternator should be charging the battery for the next time you need it. You may want to get your alternator tested.
