Question Drive shaft lengths

Is there an easy formula to figure out DS lengths when you lift a vehicle before doing so? My Sami has a SPOA high pad lift and I have a chance to get 4" springs for next to nothing. My old springs are negative arch now and the on road handling is horrible. I currently have DS spacers but was thinking that I would need to lengthen my DS's when I add 4" more. Is this true and if so how much?

No real 'magic formula', but take a look at where your slip joint is while on a flat surface. You should have about 2" of splined shaft visible (under the rubber boot). Custom shafts aren't cheap, so make sure you are happy with the lift before you lay down the cash...

If you have to extend your driveshafts you may want to consider finding a spare front shaft. Since the front is longer than the back to start with, it makes better sense to cut down the longer shaft to make a new rear shaft. If you are having a shop do it, it wil usually cost less to shorten one than to lengthen one.
