hi i've been reading peoples threads on this sites for a while and thought some of you could help me out?

i've put a 1.6i 16v engine from a 95 vitara in to my 93 samurai, i have used the original wiring loom from the engine to the ecu and spliced the needed wirers in to the original samurai wiring loom.
i have go the electric fuel pump, ignition pack and amplifier working as they should do, i have a problem with the injectors, on testing the system no.2 injector will flash a few times on initail cranking then nothing, would any one be able to asist me as i am really stuck after all the hard work is mostly done it would be a shame to take it all back out. many thanks if you could help simon!

Have you wired in the diagnostic plug and a Check Engine Light? If not then you really need to do this so you can pull the fault codes from the ECU.

Cool

does the engine warning light need to be an l.e.d or can it be a normal low voltage bulb? Ive read a few things about the speed sensor behind the dails that adjusts the fuel according to speed, should be fitted to my sj with the convetion, but when i took the dails out of the vitara there was no sensor fitted to it but i have read that it should run with out this??? i will try engine warning light out in the next few days, am i under the understanding that the engine light flashes in sequance that should tell me of any fault that is present??? thanks for your help simon..

The CEL is just a low wattage bulb, something like 1W. Are you sure that there was no speed sensor on the Vit. You do have to take the speedo head out of the cluster to see it but you should see one or two wires coming from the speedo head to tag on screws through the flexi-circuit. Where abouts are you located?

Have a look here for diagnostics info:
