MPG w/different carbs?
Just installed a Toyota 3k on my 87 Sam. and was wondering what kind of MPG differences anyone has noticed? The stock carb was full of vacuum leaks and I thought that was contributing to the poor (17-20) mileage I was getting. Of course, I have no idea what condition the engine is in as I've recently acquired this vehicle. It was bone-stock other than larger 235 tires.
With the carb swap, I've noticed that it starts MUCH easier and runs smoother, in general. Didn't see a power increase, so a little disappointed with that. I figured I'd be OK with no change in power if I did see an improvement on the MPGs. Too early to tell just yet, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
