Default 1991 Samurai RHD - Special Parts Required?

I'm wanting to purchase my first Samurai and am looking at a 1991 RHD. I'll be shipping it to the USVI where I live and where it can be difficult ship replacements parts (or anything for that matter).

There are already plenty of Samurai & Suzuki's down here but all are LHD and am wondering if the RHD version has any 'backwards' parts that may be difficult to source since this would be the only RHD Sami that I'm aware of.

Thanks very much for the advice!

RHD Samurais have quite a few different parts. But the majority of drivetrain parts are the same (except anything to do with steering, obvious). So you should be able to keep it running with LHD parts.

There is a huge market for RHD Sammys in India. You are probably in a better position for replacement parts than for the LHD cars

these cars where mass marketed and sold in LHD countries like India and australia and there origin japan, the aftermarket/oem parts floating around for LHD is probably even stronger then RHD, i have confidence you will have no issues in getting parts for LHD. i have LHD and have no issues with finding parts. maybe even to maybe parts for my wallet to handle hahaa.

Just so you're aware of it - India, Australia & Japan are all countries where they drive on the left side of the road, in RHD cars.

It's also not as simple an issue as LHD vs RHD, many parts, especially those that are emission related, are specific to the market for which the vehicle was built, so that an engine in a model built for the RHD Japanese market is not necessarily the same as an engine in the same model, built for the RHD UK market - in some cases, the engines may be totally different, in others, specific engine components are different.
