Default Head gasket replacement

I'm reinstalling my head after being reworked. I know what most all in the gasket set is, but one thing I don't know is the cone shaped seal is. It's metallic and about 3" in diameter. Any help would be appreciated. I haven't removed anything like it and not sure if I could let it go. Thanks

Year, model, engine size and a pic part would go a long ways here!
