Default R-12 A/C question

I have a 1990 Samurai with R-12 A/C system.
I noticed that my A/C was not really very cold ( outside temp 84F) the sight glass on dryer shows bubble flow, so I suspect I'm low on R-12.

Middle Ohio temps never reach more than 90F, so I thought I might FIRST try to add R-12 and if I have a leak, convert to R-134a.

My question is:
Where are the low side and high side ports located. The compressor has 2 ports and the evaporator line has 1. They are all the same thread.

Little help needed here to identify the correct port locations.
I can send pics if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

Max will become famous soon enough

High and low side service valve ports ARE the same thread / port size with R-12.

The easiest way in your case (if not familiar with the individual components / system functioning) is to simply attach a gauge manifold set to both connections. With the system running, low and high side pressures will be (reading) apparent.

Low side lines are always cold to touch (never hot) when the system is at LEAST partially charged and running, as well.

Good luck finding R-12 replenishment stock!
