Default 1994 samurai spark dropping out

Hi all I have a 1994 samurai and it seem to be dropping the spark at the coil wire coming from the igniter any thoughts, or has anyone run across this ?

Yes, sort of. I had changed distributors from one 1.3, to another, looking to put the better parts on the one I was going to rebuild. The swapped distributor would sometimes work on the motor it was put in. Some times it would start and run, sometimes start run and die, sometimes no start at all. Swap back and everything would work fine. Turns out the air gap in the distributor pickup sensor when installed in engine "B", was too large. A combination of worn cam distributor drive gear, worn distributor drive gear and worn distributor bushings were adding up to just enough to open the air gap too far for the pickup sensor to react to the magnet on the rotor, when used in the engine that had the most miles on it. Since yours is an EFI model, I assume, the distributor may be different than the carburated models I am working with, but the conditions I write about my still give you a place to start looking.
