Default Rusted Chassis and Mounts

Alright so i am basically a newbie. I recently bought a 1986 Samurai for 1500 it runs perfect body is great but the Chassis is rusted real bad. I have been researching and have come up with two solutions. One I go somewhere and get the frame patched. Two I replace the chassis.
What want to know about the patching is would i be able to do it or how much will it cost to get a shop to do it. Also how sturdy would it be if i went this route and would i be able to go mudding and stuff with out my car falling apart.
As for replacing the chassis i want to know how much it would cost to have a shop do it and also if i could do it if the shop costs to much. I I did it what would i need and how long it would take, also how much would be to get a chassis or a parts Sammy with good chassis and just swap bodies. If i went this route could i use other years or would it have to be a 86
BTW i live in Jacksonville Florida
