Default Throttle pedal assembly

I need to get my pedal closer to the floor. I know you can adjust
the cable at the carburetor and at the top of the pedal. This does not
look like the solution to my problem. The way the pedal is now
I have my foot back as far as I can bend it. I have a good 4" of
adjustment under my pedal and it will still leave me enough travel
for the carburetor to open full throttle. I did install a sidewinder
carburetor but my pedal was at this same height with the oem
carburetor. It looks like my only solution is to take out the pedal
assembly and bend the throttle rod. Before I start doing something
like that I thought I would get on this forum and see if their is
something I'm missing or a better solution to my problem.
