Hey guys I need help. I recently purchased a 1985 samurai up here in Canada. The guy I bought it from told me it was an sj410 with the 1 litre engine? I knew very little at the time so I ended up buying it. Now it turns out I need some parts for this thing and I need too know what it actually is? It says samurai on the dash on the passenger side, it has the park brake on the transfer case, it has a 5 speed, not a 4 speed, and last but not least. It actually has the 1.3 motor. Last thing which is really puzzling me is that it appears to have the really narrow axles such as the same as an sj410. Is that possible or do I have to simply just pull out the axles and physically measure them to find out forsure, or was there such a thing as narrow axles on the larger motor with 5 speed tranny? Below there is a picture of the unit.
I know they vary a little around the world but mine was an SJ413 1986. This had SJ413 on the badges including the dash and had the 1300 with 5 speed and narrower axles. RHD over here though. I assume these are what's fitted to yours as you only have the small plastic arch guards.
That absolutely makes sense. I'm not at home at the moment but as soon as I get home I'll definitely look into that.
