Default What year & style is this Samurai?

Im looking to buy my first Samurai and I really love this body style... https://i.ytimg.com/vi/P76Qd4OcCsA/maxresdefault.jpg

I was wondering if anyone knows if this body type is specific for a certain year of production or country of origin?

Ive done some research and I believe it's part of the Katana Samurai family but Im not positive.

Also is this roof or a similar roof available in the aftermarket? From the research ive done it's hard to find a comparable attachable roof.

Please provide me with links to helpful aftermarket sites with great roof options.

Thank you so much

As you say it appears to be the Katana and Indonesian. Can't help any more than that .

I'm assuming it's the roof that's got your attention - it's known as a "high top" and was available in a number of markets including the E01 or "general export" markets - which translates into markets that either weren't large enough to require a specific configuration for whatever reason, for example US market models had to meet US federal regulations for safety & emissions

I've seen them in the Caribbean, I know they were available in Australia, parts of Africa & Asia, Latin America, I can't be specific as to year.

Hi this are from 89 to the beginning of 98. They go by different names and depending on the year some were manufacture at a land rover factory, they are called jimny, Santana, caribian, gypsy and in south America and Canada samurai. these were never sold on the American market but all over the world. Also they came with automatic tranny, power steering and the turbo intercooler engine, but not on all years, auto tranny started in 92 and also the p/s. give and take what I remembered.

Looking at the photo it could be a 1984 -1987 model. It is a narrow track ,1987 onwards they widened the axle widths and came with flared wheel arches. In Australia known as a Sierra, and also for a short time as a Holden Drover. ( I owned one for 19 years ).
Other markets had different motors, but in Australia it came with a 1.3L carby motor and Manual 5 speed gearbox.
