Default Clutch pedal adjustment

I just bought a 89 Sammy and love it! So much fun to drive!
And then I found all sorts of Samurai know-how and community online and was even more excited!

I was wondering about adjusting the clutch pedal...right now, I have to release the pedal more than halfway before i feel the clutch just beginning to engage. It makes it really awkward to shift sometimes.

How do I adjust the cable so that the clutch engages "earlier"?

There is an adjustment on the passenger side of the sammy. Underneath you will see where the cable meets the transmission, you need two wrenches I believe they are 10-12mm..

play with this a little and you will be able to find your happy medium!

Good Luck!

Thanks! I know of the nuts you're talking about. Will give them a shot.
