Unhappy new samurai wiring harness

Suzuki SJ413 1 3L Wire Harness No 1 No 2 Fuse Box Jimny Samurai Sierra Drover | eBay

I recently purchased a brand new wiring and fuse box set off of eBay and unfortunately i didn't get the entire rundown on it before hand. this wiring set has a couple of the same plugs but majority look very different. i found upon removal of my old wiring harness that the control module is much different. i'm curious if anyone else has dealt with a new 1.3 wiring harness from India and how they went about installation, adaptation , and what control module was used. any links or other forums i could be recommended would be a great help. I bought my 87 tin-top samurai for 500 bucks with only a broken clutch pedal. but after i dropped it off at a car shop they fried the wiring harness so i thought the idea of an entirely new wiring harness and fuse box was a good idea... many weeks later after trying to communicate with the fellow off eBay i purchased from , i am now turning to the zuki world of experienced enthusiasts that inspired me to start this project in the first place.

thanks for any help or comments!

Default wiring harness fro ebay....

It appears that you purchased what you thought was a New In Box (NIB ) component for your North American Specification Samurai. Unfortunately, you appeared to purchase an India-Spec Maruti component.

Ebayers and some of our online vendors have recently started to offer "NIB" Samurai components that are from Maruti India - the ONLY Suzuki licensed manufacturer that is currently manufacturing what we know as the Samurai.

Although a very large percentage of these parts are interchangable, certain components - apparently electrical components are in this group - do not. I am having a minor issue with a Maruti-sourced ignition switch. I believe that the compatibility problem involves the fact that the electrical parts that you and I purchased are for recently-manufactured Maruti Gypsies and not the older Gypsies that were similar to ours.

It looks like you have two choices here:

1. Get a refund form the ebayer that you purchased this component from and place a "wanted" post here at Suzuki-Forums for the right fuse box (specify year and model), then start over with your rewiring project using a a used unit from a North American source. You may also want to post in the Wanted forums at zuwharrie.bbs, and at Another faster and more reliable resource is HWY 83 SUZUKI SALVAGE.

2. try to figure out how to make the fuse box you have work using the wiring diagrams available at Ack's FAQ (Ack's FAQ -) do a search for diagram.

I hope that this helps!

I bought a clutch cable a while back from a seller known as rocksta9 or something similar, turns out the cable was for a RHD vehicle but was indeed a new OEM cable. I couldn't use it. I messaged him and he refunded me immediately and apologized for the inconvenience and allowed me to keep the cable.

If that is the seller he seems to be a good guy and he sells lots of Suzuki stuff, I think he will make it right. A lot of the international sales stuff is wrong for USA spec and the listings are not always clear about this.

USA spec, years and left hand drive are a few important points to ask sellers before pulling the trigger on ebay. I hope you get it sorted.
