nobody here has a computer to read OBD-1 units.
My mechanic referred me to someone in Covington who was able to use a paper clip as a jumper between two of the sockets on the ECU plug.
It read out in a "flashing code" on the instrument panel... in this case two followed by three flashes. He then was able to decode that into meaning the intake air temp sensor was on the fritz... he then checked the sensor itself and determined that it was bad. NAPA was able to order one and it did the trick.
A week later, I found a sensor for about half the price, but too late to cancel a special order...
In Covington, LA the mechanic that solved the problem is Troy 985-893-4333
