Default 88 stock carb rebuild??

My 1.3 88 sami has a stock carb and won't run. I put fuel in carb and it will idle until fuel is gone. Checked fuel pump and it is good. Can this be an obstruction in the carb or float problem??

Not even four hours between posts, did you think there was someone just hanging around waiting to reply to you?

You know there is a carb problem - you don't know what it is, and please tell me you don't really expect us to diagnose it from a distance - yes, the float could be stuck, or the float valve blocked, or a fuel passage, or the primary main jet(s).

This is where you get to decide - am I familiar enough with carbs that I can tear this one down, or do I need to get help or a replacement. The carb on my 1.3 was a double barreled Aisin, simple enough, you look you're in the US, so you would had the electronic feedback Hitachi, which I understand can be a real pain.

Good luck.

Sorry about time on posts just seemed longer. I will pull the top off today with the hope it is the float. Wish me luck.
