Default Intermittent cutting out while driving. Please help

Hi, I have a sj410 with an su carb. When driving it cuts out and I have to restart. I runs nice and smooth and engine just dies with out warning. And it starts right up after. Has anyone else heard of this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could it be the carb shut off solenoid.

The first thing that comes to mind is carb freezing.
Where in the world are you.
Is the air intake set to use air from the exhaust shield if it's cold where you are?

Carb icing is my first thought too, a very common complaint with SU conversions at this time of year if the standard airbox and heater pipe is not retained.
The SU does not have a shut off solenoid.
