Question Noob suspension question - pic attached

I am new to Samurai's and am looking at purchasing one. I found one, but this is a pic of the rear interior of the Sammy. Is this a common kit? Desirable? I know it has YJ springs. Can anyone shed some light?

Wow, I am at a third computer and see the pic.

OK, here is the description.

It is the top of a strut tower inside the passenger compartment poking through the wheel well. It appears that a hole was cut in the fender in a portion visible within the sammy then a upper mount was welded in. The owner said, "The shocks are outboard to be more stable"

Is that normal? desirable?

i don't see any pic....
Anyway I am not aware of any common kit that places the shock through the passenger compartment. This modification place a moving part with high pressure gas in the vehicle and would be inherently unsafe.

I've never heard of a kit like that. Having something like that inside the vehicle is highly unsafe though
