Default Jimny ignition barrel

Hi I am having trouble removing the barrel from the housing on a 02 Jimny I have spoken to a dealer they say turn it to aux and push a pin in one of the holes and it will pull out it won't work they look like roll pins can any one help thanks allan

I'm working from memory here and might be slightly off, but theres a hole about 1/2" back from the face the key goes in about 1/8" in diameter. you insert a 3/32" drill shank in and push with the key in "acc" and that will release the lock and let you withdraw the barrel. (when you press the drill in and wiggle the key and it finally comes out, you will go "ahh, thats how it fits")

if its not obvious, there is a switch held on the top of the lock assembly with 2 screws, remove that and the hole may be under it, but I honestly can't remember exactly where the hole is on your one, its been a couple of years since I had to change one.

no doubt someone dealing with the Jimny on a regular basis will be able to tell you exactly.
