When you had the shifter out were the two rods at the bottom lined up to make a square? or were they offset from each other

How about starting from the beginning and tell us exactly what happened and how it got locked up? Its very hard to diagnose an issue when someone starts a thread and says "i've replaced this and it still won't work"

knowing the root cause definitely aids in the diagnosis of the actual issue.

what were you doing at the time? what had you been doing? why did you replace whatever part?

details please, and plenty of them.

I replaced the Shifter sheet because it was shot, The transfer case quit shifting because of the failed Shifter Sheet. You dont have to comment if you dont understand the Samurai's issues. Figured it out thanks to Sidewayz.
