Default engine cuts out

hi all can anyone help my 2000 jlx auto engine cuts out at speed can only do 65mph any faster and after a while the engine cuts out shudders as it starts again then cuts out. pull over and stop the engine and after a while all is fine starts and runs fine also does it at high revs going up long hill

It sounds like fuel management, starving maybe. When was the last fuel filter change?

There are other possibilities but this is where I would look first.

it has been stood for 4years only done 40k don't know when it was changed where is the filter?

The usual problem is the cam or crank sensor, do you have the G13BB engine or the M13A?

i don't know which engine i have don't know much about these cars how do you find out??
