Unhappy Suzuki jimny 2007 4wd(h) dis-engages by itself

My 2007 jimny is in big trouble especially now that it is raining here in Kenya. when i press the 4H button the activating motor underneath engages and immediately after disengages. there is no sound of front hubs engaging and the green indicator light flashes once only during the attempt. this problem started a month ago after replacing the release bearing which the mech inserted by shifting the gearbox backwards to get access. since then i have replaced the activating motor attached to the transfer gearbox, both 4wd controllers above the pedals and today checked the vacuum switches where i found out that they were not getting any command/current upon pressing the 4H button and thus no vacuum going to the hubs. when we gave them direct current they are openning ok. where are we going wrong? someone please assist.
