Default Do thread view numbers include robotic searches?

and can those be excluded to give viewers a more accurate count?

Hello,

When you say robotic searches do you mean searches/views done by a Google bot? Or if a guess searches something, finds the forum/thread, and views it?

I believe both examples above would increase the page views for a thread when they view it. The majority of that would come from guest views. I do not think there is a way for us to disable this as well. It does help the site out by improving our ranking on Google.

I'm referring to bots collecting data. Sometimes it seems the ratio of answers to views is very small and new posters sometimes are confused why so few people "read" but don't respond.

Bots would explain that, especially since I notice new posts almost immediately appear in a google search.

I wonder if it would be possible to filter views numbers by the request "browser" field?

Anyway, thanks for the clarification.
