Default Problem Removing Blower Motor. Need Help!

I'm trying to replace the blower motor in my 06 Reno. I have it loose but can't seem to get clearance below it to get the fan clear of the housing. It must drop down and the motor hits the floor before the fan cage clears.

Anyone done it? Any tips?

Default Done!

It's out and replaced. It's a very, very, tight fit. In fact one has to rock it back and forth and force it through to compress the plastic mat on the floor panel. Another 1/64" closer and it simply would not go.

DUMB engineering!

Default Reno Heater Fan Replacement

Uh, duh! The plastic panel is beneath the carpet and covers the floor pan.
