Default Suzuki Scan Tool

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to pick up a scan tool so I can read off all the horrible things that are going wrong with my '07 Forenza. In my service manual it says to use a Tech 2 kit, but all the ones I'm seeing are $200-$300. Is that just what these things cost or are there cheaper alternatives out there? Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,

-BM

I picked up a Bluetooth for my laptop on Amazon for about 60 bucks for my 2002 GV.
It does enough of what I need it for, reading and clearing codes.

It also has real-time data.

You can get them for use with your cell phone too, they start around $11 bucks.

Don

If all you want to do is read codes, then any OBDII reader should work, if you want to have access to all the other stuff then a Tech 2 with the correct cartridges will be needed, and that is going to cost you a couple of thousand dollars, anything you're seeing for a couple of hundred bucks is suspect.
