Red face Thoughts

Im thinking of returning my car to stock.. not much done to it now. Tinted tails and a "fart can" ever since I took the rims off.. Reason being everytime I do something to my car people give me crap about it, "that looks strange, tinted tails and a muffler and not even rims" and I think to myself, "ya d*ck head Im looking for rims and havent got the money to just go and buy a bunch of stuff to slap on right away." I know its my car and I should do what I want with it but everytime someone says something it makes me feel like Im just making the car worse then stock then upgrading. If anything I will return to stock and try a different aproach, better parts... First off would be rims because I hate the stock hub caps and thats a nice starter, then pretty much go all out with every performance part I can get my hands on I dont know... Any thoughts/ideas.... allot of the car guys around here think its coming together and they see the potential but man, I hate when people diss my car... That to me is worse then someone dissing on me cuz its my pride and joy.. kna mean? ahh confusion, sucks eh?

Dont listen to whoever talks crap about your car. You should have pride for your work and what you do to it. Besides, Forenzas dont look half bad when dropped and given some rims.

My roommate is an asshole, and tries to bring me down by talkin so much sh1t about my car, but i dont really care. I plan on modding it, and nothing should make you go back to stock like that. xD

Oh trust me. I have NO mods on my car right now, save a blue neon light in my dome lights inside the car. I just bought Apex Springs, and my roommate, who IS experienced with cars, keeps saying "zomg its a pos car, save up for a new one instead."

But i say fk him, i like my car. Other than dropping my Forenza, i want to put a CAI on it, get some nice cheap 17'' rims, and a sleek body kit to boot.

Did i mention i have no job? No job = no money, i save up from the money my parents give me every week. Theyre are against me modding it, as well as some friends too, but perseverence wins. Some of my other friends actually want to see it and are pushing me to do it.

We're the people that would respect it, as well as anyone that has half a brain about modding cars.

I'm in agreement about certain mods being a waste. Performance mods are less wasteful because it actually benefits the primary purpose of the car - to get you from place to place. Rims don't even necessarily benefit you unless the tires you put on them enhance the ride's comfort or maneuverability.

Tinted taillights, headlights, a big flame sticker on the hood, or pin stripes on the sides won't turn our Suzuki into a Porsche. Those are mods I do without. A cold air intake is a significant mod assuming what I've been told about it not being too noisy is true. I'd say that would be the place to start at around $200, then add rims and performance tires and maybe some suspension parts.

There's always the sound system. The stock one is solid enough I won't be swapping it out. However if you're a music nut like me I'm always thinking about how much better it would sound with a sub and some quality components in there.

A word of advice - don't look to others for self worth. If you like what you're doing, do it. And don't be overly sensitive. Their criticism of your vehicle is of the vehicle, not your worth as a human being. Detach what you ride with who you are. I'm a 32, almost 33 year old professional driving a compact car when most of my peers drive Audis, Accords, and SUVs. My car payment is significantly less than their's.

Ya man, Hey anyone know the answer to this, are 2006 forenza's exhaust headers made of cast iron? I was thinking of having my bud bore them out, I know the design of stock is not as flowy as the one kinky sells but atleast I could open the holes up a bit for now,. if its not cast because i heard its unmoddable.. help?
