Default 1.8l top speed; 120.5 m/t

...according to the factory service manual. Just came across that and thought some of you might be intrested.

and 114.3mph for a/t.

Also it states the fuel cap. at 15.85, I thought it was 13.5? This is a lacetti manual though, but I know ours isn't 13.5 cuz I usually fit 14.05 with every fill up.

Stupid question. Since we have the 2.0 verision would that mean our top speed is greater than the 1.8?

Barley considering them make nearly the same amount of power. I'm guessing but maybe the 2.0 would be 123mph or so

Maximum Speed 1.6L DOHC :116.2 mph ,1.8L DOHC:120.5 mph

- Automatic Transaxle
Maximum Speed 1.6L DOHC:108.7 mph ,1.8L DOHC:114.3 mph

Quote:
Maximum power 1.6L DOHC :107.3hp (at 5,800 rpm),1.8L DOHC:120.7 hp(at 5,800 rpm)
Maximum Torque 1.6L DOHC :150 Nm (110.6 lb-ft)(at 4,000 rpm),1.8L DOHC:165 Nm (121.7 lb-ft)

Using a gear calculator, I get 124 mph in 5th gear at 5600rpm for a reno.
3.55 final ratio and fifth gear ratio of .886 to 1 with the stock 195/55/15 tires.
