ok im in a bind, apparently almost all dealerships in metro area that sell suzuki DONT service warranty repair. ther is only two, 1 is 47 miles away and the other is 25 miles away. well went with the closest duh. problem is on my 2006 forenza, had it checked out at autozone about 8000 miles ago and they said it came up as generic code for o2 sensor. havent had time to fix it til now, 11000 miles. i just wonder if i should take it all the way there and pay labor on this if it actually is sensor or just buy one and put it in myself, surely cheaper than driving it there and paying labor. my brother in law has a laptop with scanner in it. so does anyone know of a site that shows what each code is and breaks it down to the cause of the check engine light.

i didnt have to pay a labor charge when i had to take my car to the dealer. i didn't question whether there was a charge or not because i wanted to get it done no matter what. when they were finished, they gave me my keys back and said "youre all set". away i went

You'd be suprised at how much o2 sensors are, I just replaced both mine and they were $168 togather I think and you need a special socket for the wire and whatnot. The ones we had at our shop wouldn't even fit because of the turbo mani, luckily my fabricators friend is 20 feet away and has a 100k machine that just machined the socket skinny like it came that way.

Also universal ones are junk usually and not much cheaper for decent ones. o2 sensor had to be ordered from my dealer

yeah its been a long time since i had to get warranty work on a car and the way dealerships like to screw people over i figured labor wouldnt be covered under it. by way has anyone noticed this trend in your area where they sel suzuki autos but dont perform warranty work, only a couple dealerships do. it amazes me how you can sel a vehicle but your s o l because they dont provide warranty service but they will do regular service such as oil changes and such?

You might wanna call them ahead of time and see. Tell them it through that specfic code and ask them to make sure they have the o2 sensor in stock before you have them touch your car. I dunno if they'll do it or not just because you say you have that code.

Is it even a suzuki dealer? I'm starting to see any dealer sell a little of everything

SUBJECT: P0133 (FRONT OXYGEN SENSOR SLOW RESPONSE)

MODEL(S): FORENZA, FORENZA WAGON, RENO (RQ420)

YEAR: 2006~2007
CONDITION: The ECM software calibration may cause illumination of the Malfunction
Indicator Lamp (MIL) and store DTC P0133 (Front Oxygen Sensor Slow
Response).

CAUSE: ECM software logic, and/or early type upstream O2 sensor installed.

CORRECTION: Remove and inspect the upstream O2 sensor for its date code as described below
to determine if the early type sensor is installed. Replace the O2 sensor with the
late type described below if it is the early type. Perform the ECM reprogram
procedure below to reprogram the ECM, whether the O2 sensor is replaced or not.

i never got the code from autozone at the time. yeah i called before time and they were still able to correct problem, it was o2 sensor. whats going on apparently from what i have heard is suzuki wants a big o store all by themselves instead of being grouped with the other new cars and having a small lot. dealerships arent accepting this idea so suzuki is pulling out of dealerships or other way around. so suzuki wont accept warranty work from these dealerships. so if u have an automall near u with suzuki maybe expect them stop selling suzukis and doing warranty work
